Weezer is an alternate rock band fashioned in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. The band consists of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums), Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals), and Scott Shriner (bass guitar, backing vocals). Weezer is understood for his or her catchy melodies, usually self-deprecating lyrics, and use of distortion and fuzz of their music.
